Manifesting and designing your own reality is possible. Here are ten practical steps for manifesting the life you want, along with how to take action, and what part your soul plays in your reality.
In a world filled with possibilities, living the life of your dreams isn’t fantasy.
Embark on the journey of designing and living the life you’ve always dreamed of with:
- Ten steps to manifesting the life you want.
- How it looks when you take action.
- Why your soul’s alignment matters.
- How to navigate other people’s opinions.
- Creating your own reality with not only thoughts and actions, but with your emotional frequency.
1. Define Your Dreams: Before bringing your dreams into reality, you must first identify and define them. Take time to reflect on your passions, desires, and long-term goals.
- What does your ideal life look like? Feel like?
- What experiences do you want to have?
Clearly defining your dreams can set the foundation for your journey.

2. Set SMART Goals: Transform your dreams into actionable goals by making them Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Result-Focused, and with a Timeline (SMART). Break down your larger dreams into smaller, manageable action steps, making it easier to track your progress and stay motivated.
3. Create a Vision Board: Visualization is a powerful step towards manifesting your dreams. Build a vision board with images, quotes, and symbols that represent your goals and use it as a daily reminder for what you’re moving towards.
4. Develop an Aligned Mindset & Remove Obstacles: Cultivate an empowered and growth-oriented mindset. Replace self-doubt with self-belief, and view challenges as opportunities for growth. The right mindset is a catalyst for overcoming obstacles and staying committed to your dreams.
TIP: Mindset obstacles usually reside in your subconscious and if you start to feel frustrated when you’re doing all the right things, it’s most likely because you’re missing what’s really in your way. This is easier said than done, so make sure to consult your higher self and spirit guides for this one.
5. Take Consistent Action: Dreams don’t become reality overnight. Break your goals into small, manageable tasks and take consistent steps towards them.
6. Embrace Set Backs as Learning Instead of Failure: Understand that setbacks are a natural part of your journey. Rather than seeing failure as a permanent roadblock, consider it as an opportunity to learn and grow.
7. Surround Yourself with Support: Build a network of supportive people who encourage your dreams and aspirations. Also, keep in mind that your dream can stall if you’re only focused on living someone else’s dream. There’s room for the life you want to live too.
8. Invest in Personal Development: Invest in yourself. Learn new skills, broaden your knowledge, and seek experiences that align with the journey you want to take.
9. Practice Gratitude: Cultivate gratitude for the present moment and the progress you’ve made. Expressing gratitude helps shift your focus from what is lacking to what is abundant. Your thoughts and actions attract more of the same. Like attracts like.
10. Celebrate ( Big & Small) Achievements: Acknowledge and celebrate every milestone, no matter how small.
Designing your reality and manifesting your dreams is an ability you were born with.
Real Life Manifesting In Action: My Life As Part of a Traveling Family
In 2015, I left my corporate life and hit the road with my family… Twin five year olds and my husband.
We’ve been to most states and all over Europe and UK. Here’s something I rarely share… For twenty years prior to and up until I started traveling as a way of life, many of my decisions, thoughts, actions and intentions were aligned with my dream of traveling whenever and wherever I wanted to go.
Here are some of my decisions, actions, thoughts, and intentions that were aligned with what I wanted to manifest… A traveling life
- Drove an older car and bought things with cash, which aligned with being debt free + I contributed the maximum to my 401K to get the max matching from my company, which I liquidated later for travel money.
- Watched every Rick Steves travel video and imagined myself there. I have the whole collection.
- We never bought a house to stay flexible and liquid. Instead, we house sat for family members during summers to bank cash and save tons.
- Subscribed to travel newsletters and learned every travel hack. I did this for enjoyment, not realizing how much I was learning until I used it on the road.
- Perused Airbnb on a regular basis. And, because I knew the platform so well and enjoyed searching for fun, the actual booking and chatting with hosts felt like second nature and then it became easy to get the best place and location at the right price for my family. Everything is negotiable.
Soul Alignment With What You’re Manifesting is Everything
A couple of weeks before we left town, we got together with a bunch of friends and told them what we were doing during a bon voyage dinner.
Oh boy, their mouths dropped.
They gasped and said, “You have two kids and you quit your job to travel?”
Me: “Yep. I’ll work on the road and so will Lee.” Lee is my husband.
They asked, “Aren’t you worried it will be too much with the kids? What will you do if you can’t speak the language? Isn’t it expensive?”
We smiled and enjoyed a beautiful evening.
Other People’s Opinions Rarely Break My Manifestation Bubble.
Their gasps and “worried for me” intentions were about them. Not me or my family. It wasn’t their dream or soul manifestation at work. It was mine.
When you encounter this kind of social shock from others with something you want to manifest and you see it as not supporting you, let it go and maintain your manifestation bubble.
They are them and you are you.
They can’t see what you can see.
It’s a matter of soul and frequency. Some people will get it and that’s icing on the cake. Be glad for those few.
Note: When others ask you questions about your dream or what you’re trying to manifest, it’s not automatically a sign they’re not supporting you. It may be just the opposite. Especially when it comes from those with experience. It may be their way of helping prepare you for things you have yet to plan for.
Many countries and amazing locales later, I’m happy to report that my kids have run through the Vatican at warp speed during the night tour, trampled a few flowers in Monet’s Garden, taken in the view from Austria’s Mountains, and white water rafted in Norway to name a few of our adventures.
My soul wanted to travel. My soul needed to travel. My higher self prepared me every step of the way.
So much joy and so many adventures later, my soul was right.
I’m so glad I listened.
This is what I’m talking about when I say that manifesting works best when you are soul aligned with what you want. Listen to what your soul wants.
Going Deeper… Your Thoughts and Actions Create Your Reality
The idea that thoughts create reality is based on the principle that the mind has a powerful influence on the world around you.
From my point of view, it’s not only your mind, but it’s also the energetic frequency you’re putting out with your thoughts and actions.
Here’s an explanation of exactly how energetic frequency works through your thoughts and actions:
Your Thoughts Shape Your Perception Of The World Around You: Your thoughts influence how you interpret experiences. For instance, if you have a mindset that’s open to change, you’re more likely to see opportunities and not only challenges. But negative thoughts can darken even neutral situations, which can bring on a feeling of stress or overwhelm.
Your Beliefs Drive Your Actions: What you believe about yourself influences your choices. If you believe in yourself, you’ll act with confidence.. However, limiting beliefs may lead to self-sabotage and then it’s manifested as missed opportunities.
Your Emotional Energy Carries a Frequency: Thoughts generate emotions, and in turn, emotions carry energy that affects your life.
A high vibe frequency—emotions like love, gratitude, and enthusiasm—can attract wonderful experiences, though fear and doubt bring limitations because those feelings build walls around your choices. Ones with no windows.
This is the stuck feeling that so many people talk about. They’ll say, “I’ve hit a wall. I’m stuck but I don’t know why.” It’s their emotional energy that’s stuck not them.
You Attract What You Focus On: The Law of Attraction suggests that what you focus on grows. By regularly thinking about what you want and taking action, you’re more likely to make it a reality.
The Exception To The law of Attraction That You Never Hear About:
Let’s say you’ve focused on a particular thing and it’s not manifesting. And, it’s usually because it’s something you don’t want on a soul level.
You only want or need it on a mind level. In that case, find out what you do really want. I can help with that through a manifesting session to figure out how to get your energy aligned with what your soul truly wants.
Creative Visualization Matters: When you imagine a desire, it can prompt subconscious changes in your behavior, leading you toward that outcome.
Runners use visualization to improve their performance by mentally rehearsing a race and winning. You can also use visualization for healing or to even dream of someone or astral travel to another dimension. There’s no limit.
You’re Already Manifesting Your Life As You Know It… Why Not Manifest On Purpose?
I’ll leave you with this… When you manifest, which happens every day, your thoughts, beliefs, and emotional energy are connected to how you perceive the world and what you notice and create.
Start manifesting on purpose.
Cheers to manifesting the life you want.
